Welcome

Dear Parents/Guardians,

My name is Mia DeCaria and I am the new Guidance Counselor at Fairview Elementary. I am thrilled to be here supporting your students! 

As a Guidance Counselor, I will get the pleasure of working with all students in the classroom through guidance lessons. These are short activities that are designed to help form students' foundations in topics that include managing emotions, conflict resolution and learning strategies. All of which is done in a fun, interactive and age-appropriate setting. Additionally, I will work with students on an as needed basis for individual counseling, small group counseling and programs such as mentoring.
