Beaver County recently went through a reassessment of all local properties. One question that stands out: What are my taxes going to be based on the new reassessment value? This is a valid concern. This webpage is meant to assist you in computing what your school district taxes may be based on the reassessment value. You will need to know your OLD and NEW Assessment Values.
The MILLAGE RATE OF 9.4258 establishes a REVENUE NEUTRAL BASE. While the reassessment process is meant to be revenue neutral, some tax payers may see a reduction in their school tax bill, while others may see an increase - this is based on your individual reassessment value -- THE DISTRICT HAS NO CONTROL OVER YOUR NEW ASSESSED VALUE.
To find your assessed value go to the Beaver County Assessment Website (linked below) --> Property Search --> Locate Your Property -> Value History
The initial two calculators below allow a property owner to enter their pre-reassessed land/building value and that will calculate their FACE TAX amount. The calculator on the right side allows the same property owner to enter the reassessed land and building value and based on the revenue neutral millage rate - determine what their FACE TAX amount will be prior to the district considering any increase in local tax rate.
2024-2025 TAX CALCULATOR (FACE VALUE ONLY)
THIS CALCULATOR DOES NOT FACTOR IN THE HOMESTEAD REDUCTION, DISCOUNT PERIOD, OR PENALTY PERIOD
The district did approve the required Act 1 Resolution on December 6, 2023 - Where the Board will not increase taxes for the 2024-2025 fiscal year at a rate that exceeds the index (5.8%) as calculated by PDE.
